With 2.5 hectares of vineyards and a modern winery, it produces around 20,000 bottles of excellent wine annually—red, white, rosé, and sparkling—always with a focus on quality.

The History
A historic building of the region, its origins date back to the 17th century, when it was owned by Portuguese nobility, including descendants of William I of England, the Conqueror.
Since its acquisition by José Pinto Cardeano in 1906, Quinta do Outeiro remained in the family for a century. José Cardeano made his fortune in Brazil and, upon returning, decided to acquire the estate, undertaking an extensive restoration that included the chapel and the manor house, as well as developing the formal gardens as they stand today.

In recent decades, Quinta do Outeiro went through a period of decline until, in 2006, it was acquired by two British entrepreneurs with the vision of renovating and restoring it, bringing the estate back to its former glory.

Quinta do Outeiro has therefore experienced a fascinating turn of fate. Its restoration in the early 20th century was made possible by the entrepreneurial success of a Portuguese businessman in Brazil. Now, in the 21st century, it is the vision and success of two British entrepreneurs in the growing information technology industry that have once again enabled the recovery of the estate and its properties to a state that brings pride to the region.
