The Wine

In the cultivation and maintenance of our vineyards, we use only minimal levels of chemical herbicides. During pruning, vine canes are not burned; instead, the vine residues are placed between the vines on the soil. As they decompose, they act as a natural fertilizer, respecting and supporting the environment.

Grape Varieties

Rocaille wine is the result of a careful selection of grapes suited to the soil and terroir, combining seven varieties — Chardonnay, Arinto, and Loureiro (white), and Tinta Roriz, Sousão, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah (red) — to create a unique wine full of character.

The Wine

In the cultivation and maintenance of our vineyards, a minimum level of chemical herbicides is used. During the pruning process, the vine stalks are not burned, and the vine clippings are placed between the vines in the soil. After decomposition, these act as a natural fertilizer, respecting and benefiting the environment.

The vineyards of Quinta do Outeiro are planted in the Vinho Verde region. They benefit from the distinctive minerality of the granite soils typical of Vinho Verde, combined with the structure provided by the warmth of the Douro, giving rise to what we call “Douro Verde.” The result is wines of exceptional quality with truly unique characteristics.
